15 Days Wildlife Safari And Tribe Tour
Day 1, Arrival Nairobi:
Arrival and meet and greet by our airport representative and safari drive and transferred to the city Hotel for an overnight stay. Bed and Breakfast at Boulevard Hotel. (Accommodation – subject to availability)
Day 2, Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve:
Breakfast at the hotel then depart for Maasai Mara through the Dramatic Great Rift Valley Escarpment. A brief stopover at the View point. Head to Africa’s greatest Masai Mara national reserve. Lunch and evening game viewing drive in the reserve with all meals and overnight at Mara Camp. (Accommodation – optional and subject to availability)
Day 3, Masai Mara National Reserve.
Spend the whole day at leisure with morning and afternoon game viewing drives or spend the full day in the field searching for the plain game with an option of picnic lunch. All meals and overnight at the Mara Camp.
Day 4, Masai Mara- Nakuru National Park.
Breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Camp. Afternoon proceed to the Park for an evening game viewing drive. Return for dinner and overnight at Flamingo hill camp.
Day 5, Nakuru– Maralal
Depart in the early morning towards Maralal via Nyahururu (stop at Thompson falls briefly). Lunch en route as we arrive at the campsite in the late afternoon to pitch up tents for the night. (Particularly long drive; cold night).
Day 6, Maralal – Great Lake Turkana
After breakfast, we start the long journey driving via Baragoi and South Horr to arrive at our semi – permanent beach campsite where we have our traditional Turkana huts for the night which make it a perfect place to relax, protected from the scorching sun and heat characteristic of the climate of this remote area.
Lake Turkana is the largest desert lake in the world and extends for 288 kilometres up to the Ethiopian / Kenyan border surrounded by volcanic rock and desert.

The day is spent relaxing. Later in the day we visit the El molo tribe and thereafter enjoy a sunset boat cruise (look out for crocodiles along the shore). Other optional activities (payable direct) include visiting the Desert museum, enjoying a swim at the nearby lodge and exploring Loyangalani town. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 8, Kalacha
After an early breakfast we cross the Chalbi desert depending on the season via North horr towards Kalacha. If it has rained, we shall use another route avoiding the desert. Kalacha is a small settlement on the edge of the Chalbi Desert inhabited by the Gabbra people (pastoralists particularly attached to their camels).
Enjoy an evening sunset,at the campsite or watch a Gabbra performance in the evening (optional cost) (windy night).
Day 9, Marsabit
Break up camp in the early morning as we head south towards Marsabit (meaning place of cold); an astonishingly cool, green and hilly oasis rising high above the dry heat of the surrounding desert lands. En route we stop to enjoy views of the massive Gof Redo crater and desert landscape. The area is home to the local Rendille and Samburu people abundant in their bright red outfits, beads and earrings. This will be a cold night.
Day 10, Samburu Game Reserve
Depart in the early morning along the trans-african highway towards Samburu. Lunch en route and arrive Samburu National reserve in time for an afternoon game drive. Afternoon game viewing drives with dinner and overnight stay at Samburu
Day 11, Samburu Game Reserve
The day is spent game viewing in the park. You may also opt to visit the nearby Samburu village (payable direct).
Samburu is part of a lava plain that includes a diverse landscape of thorn scrub, red dirt, dried river beds, broken volcanic rock, steep hills, and rocky outcroppings. The region is home to the uncommon Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk antelope, Somali ostriches, lions and Oryx. Elephant, crocodile and numerous bird make excellent sighting.
Day 12, Shaba Game Reserve/Buffalo Springs
Drive to shaba-Buffalo springs for early game drive in the reserve, here there is plenty of wildlife not getting the Big 5 Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos both the black & white, big heard of African Buffaloes ,optional visit to the Samburu Villages outside the reserve on the way out of the reserve (payable direct).
Day 13, Sweet waters Game Ranch & ol pejeta Ranch. Departure for Sweet water after an early morning breakfast
Sweet waters in know for its great wildlife with a great view since animals are seen very closely than most parks lunch at sweet waters tented camp. Afternoon at leisure evening visit to ol pejeta sundowner in sweet waters tented camp and overnight
Day 14, Mt Kenya
Depart for Mt Kenya National park for a day trip, Mt Kenya offer a great view of the snow capped mountain, there lots of wildlife in the park heard of elephants buffaloes are seen grazing in the long green grass. Weather is great as the altitude is above 3,000. Lunch at Mt Kenya Leisure lodge and overnight or optional
Day 15, Mt Kenya
Depart for Nairobi driving though Nanyuki Nairobi supper Highway
Arriving in Nairobi drop off at the airport for outbound flight back home
